Concept

This new play was featured in the Wagner New Play Festival. The concept centers on two best friends, each associated with a contrasting color palette (one warm, and one cool) to visually reflect their differing personalities and thoughts on motherhood. As their friendship faces challenges, they ultimately adopt each other’s colors, subtly paying homage to one another. Their friend Katie is the first to become a mother, and she is repeatedly in flower patterns, symbolizing life and distinguishing her from the other two Katies, who are also celebrating a baby shower.
