About Me

I am a Mexican-American costume designer with a passion for bringing stories to life through visual design. I am now pursuing my Master's in Theatre Design at the University of California San Diego, currently learning scenic, lighting, and sound design. I earned my BFA in Theatre Design, along with a minor in English, from The University of Kansas.

My creative journey began as a child where I learned to express myself through drawing, painting, and creating YouTube videos. However, it was in college that I discovered the transformative power of theatre design, which opened new ways for me to express my creativity and explore the art of storytelling.

I am originally from Oceanside, California and I moved to San Antonio, Texas, at the age of fourteen. Growing up in two vibrant communities with rich Latino/a/x cultures has had a profound impact on my work, shaping my perspective with a sense of cultural pride and identity. I strive to amplify the voices of the Mexican-American community, and foster greater representation and visibility within the arts.

As I continue to evolve as a designer, I strive to create immersive experiences that not only celebrate diversity but also amplify underrepresented voices. My work is a reflection of my heritage and my commitment to a more inclusive and expressive arts landscape.
